Haven't written anything in a while, considering it's the summer break and there's nothing to do. I have been faithful on this nothingness. My mom who usually gets crazy around the Lent remained dormant this year. Last summer, Fatty, Edge and I were watching TV when my mom suddenly knocked. "Ang init, tara alis tayo". After a couple of hours, we found ourselves in Tagaytay getting drunk under the pale moonlight. This year, we stayed home, whoopee. I've been living off chips and radiation, taking in whatever audio-visual prozac to keep me from setting the house on fire. Oh wait, I did do something...
LAGUNAI thought we were prepared enough for the trip but it suddenly turned into Amazing race when me and my classmates met up at UST. We agreed the night before that everyone's required to bring instant noodles and corned beef, but, oh that's right, they can't cook themselves. We bought pots, pans and other kitchen materials before boarding a bus....a bus we searched for in foot along the traversity of Cubao. We departed somewhere in Laguna, bought other essentials, rice and Lambanog, and made our way to the place. The water was warm, the air was breathable compared to that of Manila, the pancit canton was overflowing, free tequilla and vodka c/o MM's mom, and the videoke machine was free for the taking; everything's a blast. The trip back was a different story. We dragged our sleepy butts and um....hitched on a bus we chased in the middle of the road. The bus according to the conductor was "maluwag pa", it meant only 4 out of 13 of us were seated, the rest were left standing til we reached Taft. Hah. With this circus of a trip...I'll do it all over again given the chance, hehehe.
WALL CLIMBINGI've been dying to try this since I've never done it before, I went with my cousin Toothpick and her friend Mr.Cheeseball, (he sure oozes with cheese, oh yes he does). We learned belaying (correct my spelling if I'm wrong) before imitating Spiderman. One thing I've realized, the more weight you have, the harder the climb, and it doesn't matter if you're stronger than the thinner counterpart. One hour facing the wall felt like five. After changing from our drenched clothes, we had dinner at Razon's. Their sisig and halo-halo made sure we get back any weight we lost from climbing. The next day, Toothpick was frozen in bed with muscle sores, I only had it on the upper left side of my body, normal since I survive basically using only my right arm. I want to do it again, this time I won't wear jeans and I'll bring an anti-social device ( i.e. ipod) to take occasional breaks from Mr.Cheeseball.
UBE with EdgeHe only had two days off from work and according to our calculations, I won't see him again til the end of March, so we made the most out of his break. Night one: Coffee+Movie marathon+beer+korean noodles=great. Night 2: Almost missed any movie because of our INdecisiveness, our common denominator; we ended up watching Norbit. Coffee all the way to the wee hours before coming home. Day 2: We planned on baptizing the new Jollibee just around the block, brought Toothpick along with us, and ended up in Terriyaki Boy with a heavy bill. It was fun, pero 'la na ko anda.
The rest of the break up to this time consisted of coffee breaks, usually with Jona. We also got to visit Caitlyn who's growing up so fast. The last time I saw her, she was like a pea, now she barely fits in my arms. Also, had two rounds with Fatty, Blockmate, and the couple. I found out some things, one that quite heated my head up, and another...just..weird. (For those who can relate, shhhhh, hehe). Oh wait, I just really have to write this down. My current good-pillow-strangling movie is
Pride and Prejudice. Anyone who has the book, pheram please. That's about it, made it long since I'll be gone for a few days. I'll be in Lipa tomorrow for Mochi's debut, then the next day I'm off to Anilao. I have no idea how to get there, I heard rumors that I even need to board a bangka then a ferry. I'm praying not to get lost. My last lone adventure was a trip from Araneta to Rizal riding the LRT, I lost myself. Yup, high hopes. If I end up missing for a month, look for my remains in Batangas. Ciao.
