A certain director met up with me about a week ago for a potential project. Apparently, I was referred by an upcoming filmmaker I just recently met.
No middle-man to introduce me, and he carefully asked what my rate is--a topic hardly a concern for people I work with in prior projects. It was...weird, inexplicably. Anyhow, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one. The director seems nice (something validated by common friends), the crew's smaller ergo less complicated than [HL's], and shoot's set in Subic. Wow, my skin's far from it's original state yet here I am getting excited for the sun again. Hope I get it...new people, new opportunities, plus I need to save up for Batanes.
Batanes
The Dapli girls (Me, Governadora, MM, and J. Ylagan) have been playing with the idea of touring Batanes after our Sagada trip. The idea materialized a few weeks ago with a certain compulsion brought upon by our seat-sale addict friend J. Ylagan. She reserved tickets online, and if we do too, we get to save around 8K. Cheaper plane tickets means we go to Batanes on October. And with the powers of MM's mom's credit card...voila, the trip is set.
Later on did we realize we need around 15 to 25K for the trip, we could have gone to Bangkok instead and that would've been cheaper...but hey, to justify the impulsive deed and make ourselves feel better we find comfort in the fact that:
Many have threaded the streets of Thailand but not the moors of the northernmost part of the Philippine islands. So there, I need
rakets, rakets, and more importantly, profitable
rakets to see the Ivatan's.
